PDAs & Windows Mobile Essentials & Beyond(1 Day Course)
Brief Outline:
This course covers the important skills and shortcuts in using your Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), SmartPhone or PocketPC based on the Windows Mobile operating system. You will learn important uses for your PDA and how you can use it to improve your productivity and effectiveness.
You are expected to bring along your PDA to the course and to work with it whilst carrying out the hands-on exercises. A unique system for demonstrating features of PDAs is used in the course to show you how to carry out various tasks. The course workbook will give you some great ideas and suggestions for how to use your PDA to the max!
Detailed Outcomes:
By the end of your learning, you will be able to:
- Set up your PDA’s options and preferences.
- Enter and edit information using different data-entry shortcuts.
- Set up various connection options (Wireless modem for PC, Wi-fi, Bluetooth, etc).
- Use and manage contacts and e-mail.
- Use and manage phone features and shortcuts.
- Access and browse the Internet.
- Use the calendar and tasks for information and time management.
- Use multimedia features (Media Player, camera).
- Use Windows Mobile Office applications (Word, Excel, etc).
- Synchronise data with your PC, laptop or network.
- Backup and protect data.
- Evaluate case studies and other uses for PDAs.
Recommended Prior Experience (Prerequisites):
No experience in using Windows Mobile or PDAs is required nor assumed.
