General Outline
This course is designed as an introduction to those who have never seen or used a keyboard or a computer. It takes participants right back to the basics and describes in simple terms, the main aspects of computer hardware and the basics of using a computer. Everyday terms are used where possible to make the participant feel at ease and unthreatened.

You will learn all about the Windows operating system and how to use it. You will be taken through simple exercises that allow you to become familiar with the all-important mouse, including navigating files and folders, creating simple documents, e-mailing and surfing the Internet.

The course covers the basics of using a computer and will definitely get you up and running in no time.

Outcomes Using important shortcut in starting and using applications
Outcomes Navigating files and folders
Outcomes Creating, editing and formatting simple Word and Excel documents

Previous Experience Recommended
No experience with the PC is required.

Class Size
The number of trainees is restricted to a maximum of 10, or as required by your organisation. Each trainee is trained on a Pentium 4 PC with 17" flat-screen monitor and access to broadband Internet, printing and demonstration facilities.
